Maulana Sami Ul Haq’s Funeral Prayers To Be Offered TodayRawalpindi (November 03, 2018): The funeral prayers of Jamiat Ulema Islam-Sami (JUI-S) chief Maulana Samiul Haq will be held at Garrison Ground in Akora Khattak at 3pm today (Saturday).The body of the slain JUI-S chief has been transported to his native town Akora Khattak through an ambulance.Click Play Button To Watch This VideoEarlier, Chief of his own faction of the Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam, Maulana Samiul Haq was shot dead in his house on Friday evening.The attack took place in the jurisdiction of Lohi Bhir police station near Rawalpindi.The emir of the Jamiat Ulema Islam-Sami (JUI-S) in Peshawar has confirmed the news of his death.“He was trying to reach the protest in Islamabad but came back home due to roads being blocked. He was resting in his room during Asr time when his driver/guard went out for 15 minutes. When he returned, he found Maulana Samiul Haq dead in his bed and his body covered in blood,” Sami’s son told media.Click Play Button To Watch This VideoEarlier, some reports suggested that gunmen on motorbikes opened fire on Sami ul Haq’s vehicle and sped away. Sources say that a security guard of the deceased cleric was critically wounded.The JUI-F was being shifted to DHQ Hospital before he succumbed to his wounds.Maulana Haseem, a central leader of the JUI-S, confirmed the death of Maulana Sami ul Haq in the attack.
