Bilal Khan, Vasay Chaudhry fly home to cast their votes

After massive social media uproar and people calling out Pakistani celebs, who are currently in Toronto for an award show, actors Vasay Chaudhry and Bilal Khan flew all the way back to the country to exercise their civil right.

Taking to social media, the actors urged everyone to go out and vote.

I flew from Toronto to Lahore a week ago just so I could vote,”wrote the Bachaana singer. “I will be voting tomorrow and flying back at night for the awards happening in Toronto.”

Previously, Farhan Saeed and Imran Abbas called out their fellow actors to prioritise the award show instead of voting, Saheefa Jabbar Khattak and Yasir Hussain (who is currently in Canada for the same) expressed support to celebs who aren’t present to vote.

“It would’ve made more sense for me to stay there but I came back. The reason I tell you this is that I want you ALL to vote. Each vote counts and it is our duty as citizens of our country to vote,” he further added.

“It is cool to vote. Don’t be uncool & lazy to not vote (unless you are underage),” concluded Bilal.

The Jawani Phir Nahi Ani actor simply put a picture of his inked thumb and wrote, “A 14 hour flight to get to THIS.”
